As a respiratory therapist who also needs significant resp care, this is an awesome device! My battery has been working well for almost 4 years of using it. The AC/DC cord fits the device to directly use the small but powerful nebulizer, or there is the option of just using the battery and then recharging it. When used with the nebulizer kit that comes with it, it delivers treatments almost as fast as those given in the hospital setting.

Do not buy! I paid too much money to have the battery only last a year.
