The new NE-U100 was designed for ultimate portability. The device will fit in a handbag or briefcase and because it is battery operated, there is no need to worry about charging. The device runs for 4 hours on just two AA batteries.

The titanium vibrating element, inside the unit, oscillates at a high frequency and therefore pushes the liquid medication through the fine fine holes in the metal alloy mesh. This has many benefits including the ability to use the device at almost any angle, including while lying in bed.

The unit is virtually noiseless and can be used discreetly while on the go. Easy to clean and disinfect. Medication bottle assembly (including mesh and transducer) can be removed and opened for cleaning.

In addition, the NE-U100 can hold up to 10 ml of medication, making it one of the largest medication chambers for a portable unit.

I’ve yet to use this nebulizer as I’ve yet to figure out the cleaning procedure which seems more complicated than I like.

New design

I have used the old design for years. I like this new design and hope the mesh will hold out longer. I see some are not liking that it empties out faster, but the fact it delivered all the meds quicker is a plus for me. My only complaint is the carrying case is way to large. I could easily put the old one in my purse.

Too much leakage

So much of the medication is on the nebulizer - what a waste. Too many parts to this nebulizer. The company has not improved on this ultrasonic nebulizer- my last OMRON nebulizer was a better machine.

Omron mesh nebulizer NE-U100

I only gave it 4 stars because the outside cover and the inside cover that goes over mesh cap in my opinion will not last a long time. The clip tits that snap on to hold in place are not strong enough to last as long as the unit will. It works get. It’s perfect for emergencies or day hikes. Even if you’re in backwoods for a week with out your vehicle it would be great. It finishes the medicine in 5 minutes or less. No sounds at all so if you’re on a hunt it’s not going to scare your game away. Great product for on the go. I’ve only used it a few times . My use will be for the backwoods when I’m off grid

I wouldn’t call it portable

Unless you regularly carry around a jug of distilled water and a basin I would not call this a portable device. It works efficiently and quietly, and in any position as it describes However, it has to be rinsed with distilled water after using it and it can’t be running water, you have to rinse it in a bowl. I’ve been using a similar device from a different company for years and only ever rinsed it under the tap. I’m not sure why this one isn’t as durable. It’s fine for using at home, but the cleaning requirements make it a poor choice for a portable device
