Cruises are a great and fun vacation option for people of all ages. For those with asthma, COPD, Cystic Fibrosis, or other breathing illness, planning ahead for vacation nebulizer treatments can be stressful. Traditional nebulizer machines can be big and bulky. While most cruise liners have regular 110 volt North American plugs, excursions to foreign countries usually do not have access to outlets.
The best nebulizer for a cruise is the Omron Micro-Air nebulizer. It runs off two AA batteries, which can be found for sale around the world, and you can easily pack with you. It is very small and portable, and includes a small carrying case, which is as small as a reading glass case. It is totally silent, so you can use it anywhere, and no one will even know!
If you are planning to fly to your cruise port, remember your nebulizer needs to be packed in your carry-on bag. Also, don’t forget to pack enough medication for the duration of your vacation!
