  • 2 stars, So so
By rick from Phoenix on 2013-03-05
I was disappoined that this product lasted for such a short time as I think the Omicron serves a great puprose for road travels. I am on the road in a car and need the portability that it offers, but the replaement part should have lasted longer than a few months. As a consumer, I mean come on!

  • 5 stars, Works great so long as it's new
By Matt from Naperville, IL on 2013-03-05
    Pros: Works as promised
    Cons: Limited life
    Best Uses: COPD
The OMRON mesh cap works as promised delivering a mist of nubulizer fluid to your lungs. The cap has only one problem. I have found no way to make the cap last more than about nine months. The older the cap gets, the slower the flow of mist. I have tried everything from boiling (recommended by some) to cleaning in other ways and nothing extends the life of the cap beyond 9 months to a year. Plan to buy one annually.

  • 5 stars, Good Stuff
By hick from Cleveland GA on 2012-12-23
It's a tough challenge to rate the new one as it has not yet been installed because the original is still working fine. Albuterol is the product used. The components are cleaned regularly in the vinegar/water soution. A 15 minute soak is used. It's a fine product.

    • how often do you replace the mesh cap?
    • The mesh cap should be replaced every 6 months or sooner if the nebulizer appears to slow down.
    • Do you find this question helpful?  Yes  No
  • From K. Allen
    • How long does a new mesh cap typically last (how many uses)? How do you know when the mesh cap needs replaced
    • There is not a set number of uses for a mesh cap, but the manufacturer recommends you replace it at least every 6 months, or any time the treatment seems to slow down. There is no typical uses, because depending on the consistency of medication and duration of treatment, the number of treatments can vary greatly. You know the mesh cap needs to be replaced when one of two things occurs: 1. You notice your treatments are taking longer. 2. You have gone 6 months without changing the mesh cap. Change it with whichever event occurs sooner.

  • From Cinndie Hall
    • Is it necessary to replace the cup at the same time you replace the mesh cap?
