Traveling...and have yet to do that so I am prepared having tried out the product.

  • 4 stars, Sturdy, compact, good for travel
By Queen of Mud from Albany, NY on 2014-04-08
Pros: Sturdy, Lightweight, Compact, Easy to assemble, Easy to clean
Cons: Slower Than Full-size, Battery sold separately
    Best Uses: Schooldaycare, Travel Aircar
I have used this as a travel nebulizer for my infant son. I use a directed airstream, more than a mask, and I find it takes longer to treat him with this machine than his home machine, but it is incredibly small and lightweight. Easy enough to pack in our carryon luggage, but sturdy enough to pack in checked luggage as well (have done both). It comes with a car power adapter, and wall adapter, but the rechargeable battery has to be purchased separately. I have used so far without the battery, but am planning to purchase that soon. If I need to get a nebulizer to have at daycare, I will probably purchase another one of these.

  • 3 stars, Compact Nebulizer w/battery
By Fordownr from Detroit Metro Area on 2014-04-04
    Pros: Compact, Powerful
    Cons: Battery
    Best Uses: Travel
I bought this to use when traveling. The unit as a whole is nice but the rubber feet came off the battery almost immediately and the connection to charge the battery is real flakey (you have to move the connector around until it's in just the right position). No issues with the compressor unit conection. Also the battery is NOT as good as advertised, only lasts maybe two treatments.

  • 3 stars, Not A Magic Bullet
By Carole the Turtle Lady from Brooklyn NY on 2014-03-08
Pros: Great for the Car, Easy to use, Reliable battery, Light Weight, Helpful Carrying Case
Cons: Doesn't Save Time, Gets hot fast
Best Uses: In the car, On the go
The advertising claimed a faster treatment. This has not proven to be the case with me, which is a disappointment. I don't like the fact that Pari Trek S gets so hot in a hurry, but I am pleased with the well-made portable design.

  • 4 stars, This product does work as expected

While this product works just as it should, the power adapter has a very poor quality cord that will fail long before it should. Needs to be a high flex cord.

Pros: Easy to pack for travel, Quiet, Compact, Comfortable mouthpiece
Bought this device to take on a cruise. I was concerned about going 2 weeks without a breathing treatment but did not want to pack the big bulky machine I use at home. This is perfect! Works as well or better than my full sized device. I'm considering purchasing another for our vacation home.

  • 4 stars, Compact, easy to use and quiet
By Breathing easier from La Moille, Il on 2014-01-23
    Pros: Quiet and small
    Cons: none at this time
I had and old large nebulizer that was very noisy and could only be used on house current. The Pari Trek S is small and quiet and I can use it at home and in the car. I did not get the battery, did not think I needed it plus it over doubled the price. Works great!

  • 5 stars, Small, but works outstanding.
By Ray from International Falls, Mn. on 2014-01-10
I drive a logging truck and use in the middle of the day, and also use when I go somewhere in the car. Before I got it I had to drag my big home neb. with and had to use an inverter to plug into lighter, was a hassle. This Pari I just use the battery pack and don't have to plug in, so handy. I also have A/C or D/C plugin options if I so choose. Really liberating!!

Cons: Dicine Bowl Comes Off, Medicine Bowl Not Clear, Tubing From Machine To Me
can't see level of medication. tubing from medicine bowl and machine keeps coming off of medicine bowl, this is constant and annoying problem. like the product for travel and like the fact the machine is quiter then the larger machines.

  • 2 stars, Useless! Doesn't Work as Advertised.
By Dissapointed from Los Angeles, CA on 2013-12-20
Pros: Quality construction, Lightweight, Relatively Quiet, Conpact
Cons: Long delivery time, Expensive Battery Pack
    Best Uses: Home
I purchased this product for my 2 year old son because it was advertised that a 2.5 mL treatment could be delivered in as little as 5 minutes. I don't know why I believed something that sounded too good to be true. Perhaps it was because I desperately needed it to be true. The reality is that treatment times with this product are no different than with any other nebulizer. It still takes 15 minutes to deliver 2.5 mL of albuterol. Other than that, this product is compact and seems well built. I just can't use it because a 2 year old will not sit still with a mask strapped to his face for 15 minutes at a time 4 times per day. Luckily, he is doing well with inhalers on an AeroChamber, which takes less than a minute to deliver.

  • 4 stars, Good product
By Joe from Pittsburgh, PA on 2013-12-17

  • 5 stars, finally able to travel light
By zackbox from Cincinnati, OH on 2013-12-07
Pros: Small, Nice Carry Bag For Travel, Quick Treatment
Best Uses: On the go, Travel
This is a great product. The treatment takes only slightly longer than the tabletop model, but I'm still done in 7 minutes. I can finally travel without devoting ½ a suitcase to a tabletop nebulizer. You will not regret this purchase.

  • 5 stars, Great machine that gets the job done
By Animal Lover from Orange, CA on 2013-12-04
I have not previously used a nebulizer so my purchase was based on other comments for this machine. It is very easy to use, fast and fairly quiet. I generally sit on the couch to use it and no one has complained about the noise. The treatment takes about 5 minutes. After a few uses, you will hear the change in the sound which indicates that you have completed treatment. If you are an Asthma sufferer, this is a good little machine. Very easy to pack up and it goes with me on vacation.

  • 5 stars, Hardy little nebulizer
By Amy from Sterling, NY on 2013-12-02
Pros: Very portable, Reliable, Fairly Quiet, Durable
Cons: The Hose Sometimes Gets H
I had purchased this product a couple of years ago as a travel/camping neb for me. I now use it full time as it has outlasted 2 other larger nebulizers. The only thing I do not like about it is that it sometimes gets very hot near the hose hookup. Other than that, this little thing has been a CHAMP!! As someone with both asthma and COPD, I need reliable equipment and this rigamajig sure does fit the bill.

    Cons: none
Best Uses: Great for travel, At-home Use
This is a compact, powerful nebulizer that delivers your meds just like you want. A session is done within 10 minutes, not like the 20+ at my doctor's office. Perfect for packing along on a car or air trip. It can be with you always just in vcase and its small size makes taking it with a breeze.

  • 4 stars, Great machine, but low battery life
By Carol from Austin, TX on 2013-11-26
We love the Pari Trek. I would have given it a perfect score, except that the battery pack has gone out on me twice. I have been able to have it replaced twice, free of charge, but it was a small hassle. Just Nebulizers was great with the exchange. The machine is super fast, and quiet, which is important because other machines are too loud for my small son. it is so lightweight and compact. We take it everywhere on the go, car, around the house, outside. It is always where you need it. I won't buy anthing but a Pari. Nothing else really compares.

  • 5 stars, Go Anywhere Nebulizer
By Mimi from Sutter Creek, CA on 2013-11-19
Pros: Small and Light weight, Zippered Bag For Travel, Reliable, Rechargeable Everywhere
Best Uses: Everyday, At home, traveling
I use it everyday at home and traveling. I bought it to downsize for a 3 month trip in 5 Southeast Asian countries. Back home now, it is all I use. Used the battery on several long air, bus and train rides. Otherwise, just plugged it in with a plug adaptor where ever I could find an outlet. To avoid checked luggage, I carried on my backpack with my clothes and a large purse that had my actual purse and the nebulizer (and some meds) in it. I found I needed to remove the hose from the nebulizer each time I used it or it wanted to stay attached and it was a bit harder to pack in to the bag without creasing the tube...but I did it!

  • 5 stars, Love it!
By Toddler Mama from New Orleans, LA on 2013-11-19
Pros: Portable, Small Pack, Medication Delivery, Lightweight, International Travel
    Cons: none
    Best Uses: Pediatric, Travel
I bought this nebulizer in May 2013 because we were travelling internationally with our toddler, and needed something we could carry on the plane. It passed through security and customs with no problem. We easily packed it in our carry-on with other items (toys, snacks, electronics, etc.)Fortunately we did not have to use it on the plane, but we did use it while out of the country. It worked just fine (we bought the battery with it, so we didn't need an outlet. However, to charge the battery, we used a converter for the outlet and it was no problem). We also use it now at home (we replaced the larger nebulizer we were using). It's so much easier. I highly recommend this nebulizer! It's the only one we use and it goes everywhere with us!

  • 5 stars, Useful for horses too!
By Ann (and Mel the horse) from Dripping Springs TX on 2013-11-14
I have a horse with airway inflammation. The standard veterinary treatments include oral dexamethasone and ventipulmin. Both of these have various side effects. However, my vet got me an Rx for fluticasone, which is a corticosteroid like dex, as well as clenbuterol, which is the same as ventipulmin. I can administer both with the nebulizer. My horse accepts the treatment quietly and patiently. I much prefer this method of dosing the conventional oral medications, because the medication is delivered directly to the lungs. This particular nebulizer is portable and quiet and vary easy to use at the barn and at horse shows.

This product was perfect for the job! It comes with a discreet carrying case and is much quieter than another brand my Dad used a few years ago.

Questions on PARI TREK S Compact Compressor Combination Pack

  • From JR
    • the medication packet says to use with a jet nebulizer (not an ultrasonic nebulizer)
      what do you have?
    • This is a jet nebulizer. Another word for jet is compressor. In all our product descriptions, they say wither compressor or ultrasonic. Be sure you purchase a nebulizer which is a compressor nebulizer system.

  • From CN
    • It said " a rechargeable battery" is not included... does it mean if i pay the package (without a battery) at $80.1, it can't work without the rechargeable battery? or do you mean the rechargeable battery is a spare battery? I am confused. Thanks!
    • This nebulizer is available both with or without a rechargeable battery. If you choose to purchase the nebulizer without the rechargeable battery, you would operate it either with the multi-voltage AC adapter in a wall outlet, or in the car, using the DC adapter. If you choose to purchase the nebulizer without the rechargeable battery, you can not operate it without being plugged into either the car or in an outlet. If you want to be able to operate you nebulizer without being plugged into anything, you must purchase it with a rechargeable battery. In order to have a spare battery, you would need to purchase an additional PARI Power Pack.

Do I need a prescription to purchase on line?

    • can i buy a nebulizer without a prescription?
    • No, all nebulizers are only available with a prescription. We do accept order before we receive the prescription, and we will ship prior to receiving the prescription, but you will need to verify that you have a prescription before checking out. When you get your prescription, you can get your health care provider to fax it to us.

    • It is really hard to say how long it will last. It depends on the length of treatments as well as how frequently the treatments are done.

    • Can the Pari Trek be used with Pulmozyme? Since Pulmozyme is a little sticky does it make it hard to clean?
    • The Pari Trek S is a compressor nebulizer set and can be used with most medications. However, I strongly suggest contacting your physician as they would be the best person to ask regarding all medication compatibility. The Pari Trek S nebulizer set is easy to clean and is dishwasher safe.

    • How do we "activate" the "nebulizer cup" strip? Do we just take the back off and put it on the machine? My husband and I can't figure it out.
    • It is very simple. All you have to do is remove the adhesive strip and place it onto the compressor. Once you do that is will be activated.
