The DeVilbiss Pulmo-Aide Compact Compressor has a small base, which enables it to rest on nearly any sized table. As a nebulizer for home use, this product uses traditional wall outlet power to create the air compression, but its built-in handle means it can be easily transported and used anywhere a wall outlet is available. Also, the handy cord-wrap feature means neatly storing the power cord is easy and clutter free. The air outlet attachment is top down rather than on the side which makes attaching the air tubing easier.
You must regularly replace this compressor's air filters specific to this product to maintain its peak performance – consider adding a pack of 5 to ensure your unit will run smoothly for months to come!
What's in the box: compressor, disposable or reusable nebulizer (6 ml capacity), 7' of tubing, and an instruction manual.

I use the same kind at home. This one I use in my vehicle so that I don't have to continually change from one to another. Works great!!

2 stars, IT'S TOO LOUD!!!
By RandSuz from Austin, TX on 2012-10-28
There has got to be something better than this thing. It sounds like an old hotrod. It is extremely loud. But we spent too much money on it to find another one. I can't recommend this nebulizer for that reason alone.

4 stars, DeVilbiss Pulmo-Aide Compressor Nebulize
By J76sunshine from Hagerstown, MD on 2012-06-11
This unit dispenses the treatment very quickly compared to my daughter's other nebulizer. However, this unit is not as compact as I was expecting.

Questions on DeVilbiss Pulmo-Aide Compact Compressor Nebulizer
-
- Is this machine as powerful as the model #5650D? Generally how long does it take to do a breathing treatment.
- This nebulizer has an air flow of 8 liters per minutes and the 5650D has an air flow of 9 liters per minute. Their maximum operating pressure is the same. The shape is slightly different, as this model is more sleek. The time per treatment is dictated more by the nebulizer set you are using and not by the compressor, so depending on that nebulizer set, the treatment time varies greatly.

- I have a Pulmo-Aide DeVilbiss compact compressor: 3655D for use by a five year old.
We are traveling to Ireland shortly and I need to get an adaptor for European/Irirsh electrical current so that this machine, used in the US, can be used in Europe. Thanks. - We do not sell voltage converters. You can often find those at specialty stores like Brookstone. We do sell some nebulizers with built in voltage converters, like the PARI Trek S, which, like most laptop computers, automatically convert the voltage so it does not burn out the system. If you elect to purchase such a nebulizer, you can just get a plug adapter and it will run off any country's power.

- I have a Vevilbiss Pulmo aide nebulizer. It was part of a rental package from Praxair and was paid in full by Medicare...so.. I own it.. There is a cap next to the air hose. Should it have a filter? Please advise.
Thanks, LP - The filter on the Pulmo-Aide Compact Compressor Nebulizer is located on the front lower corner. The grey cap can be removed to expose the filter. The filter should be changed every 6 months or if it becomes grey in color. The replacement filters are part DEV 5650D-602, http://justnebulizers.com/pulmomate-air-filters.html and sell for $10 for a package of 5.

- Why are the nebulizer treatments administered by the ER or EMS so much more effective than the same doseage (example albuterol 2.5mg) delivered by my home nebulizer compressor?
- It is most likely because of the nebulizer set you are using. If you are using a disposable set (which is most often what compressors come with), it must be replaced every 10 uses for optimal treatments. If you are using a reusable, it can last longer (6 months max). If you are using an old nebulizer set, it will provide you a weaker treatment. If you are still confused, ask your health care provider and they may be able to provide additional information.

- I have a Pulmo-Aide DeVilbiss compact compressor: 3655D 5 year warranty. Our machine has a smokey smell, when in use. Why is that? We have had it for almost 18 months. I keep it in its box when not in use. We didn't use it that much until now. The first day it had the smell, I kept thinking it is going to go away, it hasn't. The tube get hots when we use it. The filter isn't dirty I keep checking it . I don't like the feeling that it is not working properly.
Thank you for your time. - You will need to contact your provider and/or the manufacturer for more information. It sounds like you may have a defective unit as that is not something we have come across before. This machine has a 5 year warranty and the manufacturer will replace any manufacturer defects. If you purchased your nebulizer from Just Nebulizers, please call our customer service department at 800-998-7750 for help.

- I am looking for a nonbreakable nebulizer, no filter and w/rechargeable batteries for my college daughter. Please advise.
- While no nebulizer is unbreakable, our most durable portable nebulizer with rechargeable batteries is the PARI Trek S. It is low maintenance with a filter that only needs to be changed yearly (they all have filters) and it is very durable. There is a nebulizer cup which should be replaced every 6 months, but it is made of medical grade plastic and is very durable. That would be our recommendation for a low maintenance, durable portable nebulizer.

- We have the DeVilbiss Pulmo-Aide 3655D. It did not come with any cotton filers. Is this required and if so which item # do I need.
Thanks - Your system will operate without the filters however the air that is being compressed will not be "filtered". The item number for the filters for your system is DEV-3655D-601.
