Cystic Fibrosis Awareness

"I feel like people with CF are privy to secrets it take others a lifetime to understand." -Mallory Smith

Mallory Smith, a Stanford University graduate and cystic fibrosis patient documented her life until her death at age 25. She left behind a memoir, “Salt in My Soul – An Unfinished Life,” that reveals much about life with chronic illness. This memoir is now an inspirational documentary, which will be released in on January 25, 2022.

The Cystic Fibrosis Research Institute has been working with Mallory’s mother, Diane Shader Smith to ensure that the entire CF community has access to this film. Salt In My Soul draws from the journaling and audio/video recordings that Mallory left behind, which eloquently document her life and her battle with cystic fibrosis.

This documentary is an incredible opportunity to raise needed awareness of the challenges of life with cystic fibrosis, while illuminating important new therapies to help those battling the disease.
